MagicBox to Display New Features at InfoComm 2002

MagicBox will be presenting a variety of new features for its Aavelin Digital Signage and Video Messaging system at Booth # 20130 at InfoComm 2002, June 12th-14th, in Las Vegas.

The Aavelin system has undergone constant refinement and development since its introduction. New features to be demonstrated will be the "Video Pass-thru" feature of the upcoming Aavelin RT, which allows an incoming video signal to be combined with the Aavelin's pages and crawl lines. An Adtec MPEG player unit will be controlled by the Aavelin to demonstrate the applications, including display of "transparent" crawl messages superimposed on the video, and a "logo bug" in the corner of the screen.

Also new from MagicBox will be a demonstration of weather support for the Aavelin. MagicBox has provided weather instruments for display of current conditions for its existing Alphagen product line for years, and has used that experience to develop a weather solution for Aavelin. Two packages will be available: A standard package supporting temperature, wind speed and direction, rainfall, and wind chill. A deluxe package adds barometric pressure, dew point, and humidity.
