Aavelin Infrared VTR/DVD Control Introduced

MagicBox announces VTR/DVD Control for the Aavelin Digital Signage and Video Messaging System.

The new VTR/DVD Package allows the Aavelin user to control up to seven consumer VTRs or VTR/DVD combination players via infrared commands. Three models are available supporting 2, 4, and 7 players.

By using the Timer Events feature available on both models of Aavelin, the players can trigger VTRs to play at specific times of the day. Scheduling may be done remotely and in advance for unattended playback.

With the Aavelin RT, the VTR/DVD player may be used as a source to pass video through the Aavelin while displaying crawl lines over the top of the incoming video. No Timebase Corrector is required.

The primary supported player manufacturers are Sony, Panasonic and JVC with hundreds of models supported.

The combination of the MagicBox Aavelin and the VTR/DVD Control Package is an easy and inexpensive way to add video playback to your CG channel.
