| MagicBox, Inc. Releases Credit Roll and Crawl Scheduling Support for the Aavelin Digital Signage and Video Messaging System
|
March 20, 2006
MagicBox announces the inclusion of two new features in the latest software release for the Aavelin Digital Signage and Video Messaging System – crawl line scheduling, and credit roll.
Crawl line scheduling takes the Aavelin’s existing crawl line functionality and page scheduling options, and combines the two. All four independent crawl lines can contain multiple pieces of content – text, date/time, local weather, and weather forecast information – and be scheduled using the familiar and intuitive Aavelin Composer scheduling panel. Items can be instructed to display between certain times of day, only on certain days of the week, or to play once or repeatedly at specific times and intervals.
Credit roll allows for a vertically scrolling text object to be placed on screen. Using the Aavelin’s high-quality display engine and video signal processing, a smooth vertical scroll is created from a .TXT file that is clean and easy-to-read. Useful for menus, building directories, meeting schedules and more, credit roll is ideal for displaying a large amount of text or data as a continuous stream. Credit Roll text can be placed over video or Macromedia Flash as well, providing an elegant, richly-produced viewing experience.
Both features are currently shipping in beta software packages. Release software builds will be available to all Aavelin owners by mid-April. Visit MagicBox online at www.magicboxinc.com for details on upgrading existing software.
